Friedrich Treumann was born on July 27, 1888 in Berlin into a Jewish family.

Since 1924 he was married to Johanna Elisabeth Flora Treumann, née Krüger, who was born on January 31, 1879 in Berlin. She died of natural causes on March 28, 1944 in the apartment they shared at Dragonerstrasse 21.

Johanna Treumann, who was not Jewish, worked as an authorized representative at A. Seydel & Co., Berlin SW68, Alte Jakob-Straße 156-157 until her death. Friedrich Treumann was the chief police secretary when he was off duty.
Also on March 28, 1944, Friedrich Treumann committed suicide by taking Luminal tablets.
According to the police report, the Treumanns were found lying dead in their marriage bed at 10:30 a.m. that same day by Hildegard Herbst, wearing only a nightgown. Hildegard Herbst, née Parda, had been friends with the Treumanns for a long time. According to her statement, Friedrich Treumann committed suicide “out of grief over the death of his wife and fear of being deported to the East.”
With the death of his wife, Friedrich Treumann became even more defenseless than he already was.
The Treumanns' assets were confiscated by the authorities.
