Emil Milch was born on 2 January 1883 in Smyrna/Izmir/Ottoman Empire into a Jewish family. He had three sisters, Else, born in 1881, Pauline, born in 1884, and Adela, born in 1887.
Emil Milch became a textile merchant and married Wilhelmine, who was not Jewish.
Their son Walter was born in Athens on 10 December 1915, daughter Ernestine followed and son Erich was born in Athens on 21 November 1919.
In 1924 Emil Milch lived with his family at Rheinbabenallee 49 in Dahlem, from 1925 as the owner of the house. In 1939 he was no longer registered there; in the 1939 census he was living with his son Walter at Regensburger Straße 4.
Emil Milch was deported from Regensburger Straße 4 on 2 February 1945; the transport was intended for Sachsenhausen but was then diverted to Theresienstadt. Emil Milch is described as an accountant on the list. There is also an index card from Theresienstadt on which Emil Milch's date of birth and date of death, 20 March 1945, are noted next to his name.
It can be assumed that Emil Milch was murdered in Theresienstadt.
His two sisters, Else Ritscher and Adela Neustadtl, were murdered, but his three children survived.
