Louis Levi Schramm was born on the 16th of February, 1890 in the district of Tuchel in West Prussia. He married Berta Schramm, née Hoffmann from Raetz, also in Tuchel. The dates of their marriage and move to Berlin are unknown, but they must have moved by 1915; their daughter Dora was born in Berlin on the 8th of November of that year.
While in Berlin, the family lived in N.31 at Swinemünder Straße 36 on the 1st floor. In address books of Berlin from 1939 and 1940, L. Schramm is alternately noted as a bicycle dealer and as a plumber.
On 4 March 1943, Louis Levi and Berta Schramm were deported to Auschwitz with the 34th Osttransport. Louis is recorded within the records of the infirmary for prisoners on 13 March 1943. Both Louis and Berta were murdered in Auschwitz, along with their daughter Dora.
